Memorial Day 2022

Memorial Day 2022

National President Orfanello will be in Washington on Memorial Day Weekend honoring our fallen Heroes. The 2022 Memorial Quilt will be accompanying her.

While National Commander McCormick will be representing the Order and Auxiliary at Arlington Cemetery's observance, Colleen will be at the wreath-laying ceremony at the Vietnam Memorial Wall. This is especially important to her since her father, Edward Oltmann, is a Vietnam Veteran.

While she is there, she will recognize each Hero's name that is submitted. Names on The Wall will be located and honored. Their names will be proudly recited aloud. Names of fallen Vietnam Heroes that have succumbed to illnesses brought on by exposure to Agent Orange or other ailments resulting from their service. will also be honored. Their names will be just as proudly recited at the "In-Memory" plaque.

To submit a name, enter it on the form to the right. You do not need to know the panel number. MOPHA volunteers will research that on your behalf.

About the Quilt

The 2022 Memorial Quilt is being sewn and will be finished soon. Progress will be posted after the Department of Louisiana's Convention on May 21st. The digital version can be seen below:
